I know you probably get asked this A LOT, but I have hsv2, I was diagnosed about 1 month ago. My new partner is aware and okay with this. We've had sex and what not (always protected and never during outbreaks) but I was just wondering, I've never received oral sex from him and I really don't want him catching this so we are as careful as we can be, but I want oral sex from him (if he's willing of course). Are dental damns the only option and does it reduce the pleasure of oral sex a lot?
Dental dams, as far as I know, really are the only oral protection available. They don’t reduce pleasure but I would be lying if I didn’t say they take time getting used to them. Dental dams are fairly thin and, in many cases, can increase pleasure. All you can do is try, right?
